Building Boldness: If You Think You Can Write - Start with Your Local Newspaper
You do not have to be happy when you write. Perhaps if you are unhappy, you will do a better job of writing, and communicating. The following letter is one that I sent to my local newspaper. This is an excellent proving ground and opportunity to hone your skills. It costs you a little time and a postage stamp. If you have e-mail, forget the stamp. Most newspapers are happy to get your e-mail letters to the editor.
