What is going on here? Has someone lost their ever-loving mind? What has happened to journalistic integrity? Have they no shame? I have been led to believe that a journalist’s job is to get and keep the facts straight. From the tear-jerk garbage broadcast to my television screen portraying the o-so-terrible pain, suffering, bloodshed, and eviscerated bodies in Lebanon, to the obvious exclusion of pictures of the similar pain, suffering, bloodshed, and ball-bearing shredded bodies in Israel, it looks to me like the TV networks have decided to take the side of the terrorists. So much for the possibility of objective journalists doing their work honestly. Why? Islamic fascists do not believe in a free press. Journalists are simply good for target practice in moslem free fire zones. When did someone slip a mental mickey to the journalists covering this war? Are they given no direction by their editors? Hezbollah deliberately provoked this fight after six years of stockpiling ammo and rockets. Hezbollah deliberately, and with afore thought, invaded Israel to kill and kidnap Israeli citizens. I personally think that a suggestion that the Jews turn the other cheek is just plain stupid. They have every right to retaliate with whatever force they think is appropriate. Not what some half-baked, half-informed, “disinterested” third party thinks is appropriate. It wasn’t your relative that was murdered in the dark of night from ambush. As for those who want to white wash things by saying that the Lebanonese citizens that are known as “collateral damage” are being killed in “excessive” numbers are also ignoring the facts. The Lebanonese have been selling the birthright, right to life, and blood of their children to Hezbollah for years. They have also been eagerly selling their own blood, bodies and souls to the Hezbollah slave shield purchasers for pottage. Moreover the Lebanonese have been joyfully accepting the food, money and services for years. The bill has just been presented. That the Israelis were the ones who had the terrible task and responsibility for stamping the bill “paid” is immaterial. No blame is acquired when an unpaid bill is sent to the collection agency. The Lebanonese “civilians” have been paid to stand in the way and hide the terrorists when “one day” the Israeli military would come looking for the SOB’s that have been indiscriminately shooting at their citizens with non-directed weapons of war which have been deliberately designed to incur maximum damage to human flesh. The Lebanonese got paid to be shields. Most ran away from their duty. The ones that stayed and died soaking up Israeli firepower to create excellent propaganda for Hezbollah performed their duty. All that is really left is a refuse disposal problem. The real tasks for Israel remain unfinished, completing the wiping out of Hezbollah, or continuing to try reducing it to a tiny fragment of its former size and destroying the cashes of arms, ammo, and rockets hidden across southern Lebanon. The anti-Israeli U.N. and the sob-sister reporting designed to distort public attitudes have combined to bring about an ill-advised “cease-fire”. There is still time to do this important work. The U.N. members will take weeks to steel their backbones to the task that Resolution 1710 requires of them. The current “cease-fire” has different meanings to both sides. Hezbollah has not changed its plans to destroy Israel. Hezbollah is claiming “victory” because nine out of ten of its volunteers were not killed. Hexbollah is freshly emboldened and inflamed by this success. Re-supply of arms, and ammunition to Hezbollah has already begun. Hezbollah will not be alone in the next round that Israel must fight. Every half-baked idiot Islamic fascist fundamentalist that can find an obscure passage to quote will be screaming for the blood of Israeli infants to splash above their doorways. There has been little joy in Mudville since the Israeli Army has thoroughly thumped every arabic military incursion since 1948. Hezbollah terrorists have learned how to fight the Israelis and at least achieve something less than defeat. The smiles and joy at that achievement are already painting moslem faces across the globe. There will be many times many new Moslem volunteers eager to scramble to learn these tactics. The final and true separation along religious lines into the cultural war of this century has only just begun. This can only lead to a larger butcher’s bill and deep lakes of blood at some future date.
