God has a Plan. And His Plan includes variability for our race starting, at the molecular level, at conception. We are a part of God’s Plan whether we like it or not. Does that make it tough on people? Yes, it does. The whole idea is repugnant. It feels like being a white mouse caught up in some scientific experiment. Like being a mouse in a lab run by a make-up company. Like being a mouse and having face powder rubbed in your eyes three times a day. Living as a mouse in that lab until you develop cancer of the eyelids. I guarantee that the mouse doesn’t like it. This idea is messy. It is hard to believe that God planned this. No, God did not start with the idea that women would suffer spontaneous miscarriages. God’s Plan also includes unintended consequences. It applies here. God’s Plan was to have a constant stream of genetic variability that allows our species, all the species, to adapt to changing conditions. Changing conditions like, wet tropical forests giving way to savannah grasslands due to mountains being uplifted by geologic tectonic forces and disrupting moisture bearing air flows across continental areas. In other words unexpected consequences. Accept it, deal with it. God will do as God pleases. God’s will be done. It is as it is, as God wills it, not what we want it to be. Why do I believe God waits until you are breathing before slapping you with a piece of soul? Because God does not waste. Indeed, He may choose to wait even later to be assured of less waste. Soul Placement Plan #1. While DNA is God’s molecular Plan of life, He deliberately built into that process many opportunities, in the chemically complicated replication process of the DNA strand, for random chance to cause many new and untried combinations, to empower adaptability to changing environments. Inevitably this includes some variations that may not be viable. God also deals with unintended consequences. God's only concerns may be the good of the species, and the result He gets from His tools. The wounded and the weak must be allowed to perish for the good of the species, and an untempered tool cannot do the required work. All beginnings are delicate. None more so than the first days of a newly conceived human embryo. There are many natural hazards. Pregnancy is our first timed proficiency test. There is a natural high failure rate. The nutrition available to the pregnant female may not allow complete formation of fetuses through vitamin deficiencies. The nutrition may lack of proteins. The nutrition may lack needed minerals. Possibly undesirable natural chemicals in the environment could cause incomplete formation of the fetus. Undesirable minerals in soils could cause incomplete formation or maturation of the fetus. Chemicals in foods could cause incomplete formation or maturation of the fetus. Other materials that come in skin contact with the pregnant female could cause incomplete formation or maturation of the fetus. I have lived in two places where natural minerals in the rocks made local water from wells unsafe to drink. One place it was natural fluorine content and in the other instance it was natural arsenic content. These elements cannot be filtered out of the water. There are many natural poisons in living nature. Plants and animals defend themselves with many chemical compounds. Plants and animals even use needles and horns to inject poisons under the skin of animals that get too close. Added to this, are the stings and bites of a large array of parasites, insects, and other creatures. Infectious diseases flood our biological systems with pathogens and poisons. We suffer from minor illnesses, structural damage, paralysis, coma, delusions, and even death in children and adults. The poisons from the pathogens may also cause fatal fetal variations. They might do this by interrupting or rearranging the complex DNA code. They might do this by depriving the developing fetus of certain needed components at critical stages of development. Uncontrolled bacteria in the mouth are now known to cause low weight infants and early deliveries. Pregnant women need to brush and floss their teeth regularly to protect the fetus. These induced fetal variations may not be able to live as independent individuals apart from their mothers after birth. Then there are hazards that are not natural. Thalidomide, alcohol, and cocaine are just a few of the undesirable chemicals that we know about today. These compounds cause infant deformities, as do the heavy metals lead and mercury. Why do we have so many warnings on beverages, foods, and medicines, unless there’s a really valid reason? We all know that there are a large number of chance combinations that are lethal while still in the womb. These things cause miscarriages. Simply put, God would not waste His time with these chance combinations of nonviable protoplasm which will have no opportunity to be a tool for His purpose. Remember, too that Man also pollutes his own water, air, and soil. These things have to be affecting us as well. We are right in the middle of the second century of a great experiment. It is the largest unplanned, unregulated population based experiment with the human genome. It is the longest term experiment in human reproductive organic biochemistry that has ever existed. We are doing it to ourselves. The vast majority of people never know about it. Smog, and other man-made environmental filth, can cause discomfort and even death in adults. It has got to be possible for it to have undesirable, disastrous effects upon fetuses. The delicate structures of fetuses are easily "changed" or "mutated" while they are developing. Ever hear of fetal alcohol syndrome, F.A.S.? Is there a nicotine fetal syndrome? We know there are “crack babies”. Why does God wait until you are breathing before slapping you with a piece of soul? Why not? By the time you are breathing, you have proved yourself to be able to do at least that much. God does not waste. God is a good shepherd. He culls the flock. He seeks perfection. God seeks stronger tools for His work. God may wait until even later to add souls. I know that this idea set out above will seem cold, and less than “heartless” to some who choose to emote as opposed to thinking, but it is realistic. God does not waste.

His pithy comments and suggestions for a return to a God-centered personal religion will interest everyone.
