It is a Deliberate Lie to Call a Natural Disaster A Punishment of God

By: George Wallace

Your God given task is to learn. Mediocrity is being only average. Being less than that of which you are capable, is another “sin." Being average at anything requiring effort really means that you simply did not try. Any performance below average means that you were asleep, or otherwise dead from the neck up, or have made some very poor choices.

Life changing decisions are exercises in freewill choices. People must make their own way. People must make their own decisions. Learning made this way may be painful, but it is honest.

God expects honesty of us, not fear. God is not to be feared. He is not going to smite you. God is not vengeful, nor angry. God is not going to blast you, or your enemies. God will be passive, and observe.

The winner will be the strongest. The fittest will survive. God does not send plagues, nor floods, nor clouds of locusts. These problems are only small parts of the natural world. These problems are not punishments directed at you by God.

When you hear from religious leaders that God is punishing you, or us, with such natural problems, recognize it for what it is, a deliberate lie. A deliberate misrepresentation of the Will of God, for that religious leader's own purposes. Ask yourself, what is the purpose of the religious leader for telling you this lie?

God is inactive. God is passive. If you are alive, He is not involved with you. God has already given you everything you need to able to cope with the inconveniences of nature.

God gave you a brain and intelligence. He didn't say you had to use it. That is your choice.

If you feel you must build your house in a flood prone zone, build it on a hill. It could be a natural hill, or a man-made hill, a float, or even stilts. That is called being prepared.

Yes, there are plagues. That is why humans have invented medicine, medical research, and plague prevention methods.

Yes there are clouds of locusts. That is why humans have invented insecticides.

Yes, there are other natural problems, that is why you have a brain, so you can invent solutions.

The only way you can get really close to God is to die. On the other hand, God does not deliberately set out to kill you. The other ways of achieving nearness to God, are by way of long distance, and resonance. God expects honesty, and experiences that you choose.

His pithy comments and suggestions for a return to a God-centered personal religion will interest everyone.
