George W. Bush: Only 971 Days Left: It is barely enough time to finish the job.

By: George Wallace

There are only 971 days left to painfully endure before the incompetent administration of the George W. Bush Presidency comes to a lingering, crawling, whimpering, and unbeloved close.

How much bigger will our national debt grow to further destroy the futures of our children and grandchildren? If we were building roads, highways, bridges, high speed rail commuter systems, wind farms, solar farms, a national health care system that works efficiently and cost effectively, a decent national school and training system for the 22nd Century, or even, God help me, nuclear power plants, that kind of debt at least makes sense. From a surplus to nine trillions of debt in five years. Even Caligula and Nero didn't do that.

He couldn't change Social Security, so he has 971 whole days to continue to try to destroy it from the inside by killing the middle class economy that supports it.

How many more millions of middle class family supporting jobs will continue to be exported to China and India? Golly, friends when you neighbor loses his job, that's a recession. When you lose yours, that's a depression. And you can't even declare bankruptcy anymore. That makes you a perpetual debtor, working at wages that compete with those in China. The next step will be to sell you and your children into slavery. Oh, they'll call it something else, but a skunk by any other name . . .

How many more millions of illegal immigrants (a.k.a. criminals) will become legal "amnesty" citizens of the United States simply by walking across our borders? Then they can bring over their relatives, and their relatives can bring over their relatives. Where does it end? Don't laws and rules mean anything to the Republicans who have control of the government? Or, is this really a planned set of apparently ineffectual, bumbling inactivities purposefully designed to destroy decent wages for blue collar workers?

How many more thousands of good American men and women will die, or be crippled in Iraq to satisfy one man's sick ego? Be a man, George, know when it is time to quit. Daddy and his friends can't bail you out of this one. Aren't we supposed to be after the terrorists? Ben Laden and his gang? Were any Iraqis involved in 911? What are we really doing there? Why didn't we invade Saudi Arabia? Didn't they sent us most of the red-handed, baby murdering, best Islamist thinkers, and cultural action heroes that flew our planes into our buildings?

How many more right wing extremists in our government will be indited as criminals in the next 971 days?

How many more Snow White"® style red herrings are the red state conservatives willing to swallow fresh and whole from Karl Rove's cess pool of poisonous politics? Maybe the Republicans that elected Republicans like these __________ will puke first, before they repeat this kind of fiasco.

How many more inept and inadequate performances like the missing WMDs, Katrina aftermath, Ports control, pitiful Immigration policies, and unlawful Internal Spying on US citizens can we expect from our "compassionate" President and Congress?

How much longer can President Bush and his crony Congress continue to both walk and chew gum?

There are only 971 days left for George Bush to transform America into a Latin American style country of "haves" and "have-nots", something like . . .say . . . Mexico.

Maybe "Likkle Georgee" could ask "Likkle Vincentee" for some more pointers on how to run down America"
