Copywriting is the ability to write words to get people to give you money. There was nothing harder for me than writing copy. I have never thought of myself as a good writer and in fact I left college once because I was worried I couldn't write! But now I find myself looking forward to the next article or email I'm going to send out. I love to write and find new ways to say things. In this article I'm going to give you some interesting ways you can use writing to attract people to you on the internet. You want to keep three things in mind when you are writing an article, email or anything for that matter regarding your business: Know your target market Attract them Maintain the attraction You want to have walked in their shoes so target people in your field that you have things in common with. In other words, connect with people that have similar backgrounds and jobs as you have had. You may be a stay at home mom and can really relate with the trials and tribulations of staying home and taking care of the children. You have to know who you're talking to in your audience so you can connect with them. Let them know you understand where they are and that you are where they want to be. When you identify with the hardships of their situation write from your own experience. You want to let them know you understand them and in this way they know they are understood. From there they will believe and trust you. They will look to you to see how to get to where you are. Where you see competition that's where the money is being made. Don't let it scare you off, just stand your ground and allow your writing to stand out. Always lead with their issuesand paint the picture of how it could be with your product or service. They need to know you are real and have experience enough to know what they're going through. Here are five things you can use to stand out: 1. Question what seems to be the truth. This gives their brain a skip and allows them to hear you. An example could be: You don't have to invite your friends and family to do this business. 2. Be controversial. Be controversial without being negative or bashing people. An example would be: MLM doesn't work anymore, do what I did. Use the National Enquirer to get ideas. 3. Be entertaining. Entertainment is a great way to attract people and is really why people buy stuff. They watch videos to be entertained, they read the emails to be entertained. Always relate anything in your marketing back to you. If it's not entertaining to you then how could you expect it to be entertaining to others? 4. Be a teacher. Give them information they can use and see value in receiving. 5. Be inquisitive - Your audience is going to purchase for all kinds of reasons. Ask questions for subjects of emails, or use the "ask and answer" technique in an article. Copy writing is the most powerful tool in your tool box as an internet marketer.
