Aloha and Hello to Friends and Writers

By: George Wallace

We are now initiating a new specialty content rich article directory web site service which has as its target audience three groups: writers, editors, and publishers. The press release is scheduled to go out today, Friday, January 10th, 2006

Please look at this web site at your leisure.

The editors and publishers come to it in search of content. Sometimes they need just a little content. Sometimes they need a lot of content. Sometimes they are just hunting for a writer knowledgeable about, or in a specific field.

Where do you come in? We're glad you asked. You are a writer. You can write. You do write. You have written.

In an article directory, essentially you put forth copyrighted free standing samples of your work. This could be a first chapter, a segment of a story, that you choose. It is an especially valuable way to reinstate material languishing in the closet, unseen, and lost forever. Unless you free it and edit it for the world to see. The important part is that each article must stand alone, and by itself. You can upload a series, if the parts are clearly labeled: Part 1, Part 2, etc. Your article becomes part of the public domain available for anyone to use as long as they give you copyright credit and linked attributions.

We've been asked, how much do I write? Answer: Anything from about 300 words to several thousand. Try to target a thousand words. Sometimes there is a bit less, and sometimes it goes over by a bit. We suggest you try to tighten up on your writings at 750 words per article.

We've been asked, what do I write about? Answer: Anything you want. Anything you know about. Any area where you would like to show your "wares" and skill.

This is a win / win situation. You win by being published, instantly, worldwide, and available to thousands of e-zines, general magazines, periodicals, journals, specialty magazines, and every other stripe of editor and publisher in the English speaking world.

How does that work? You submit an article within the parameters published on the site. It is read and approved and posted as long as it meets the limitations of the parameters given on the site. On a regular and frequent basis new articles are "pinged" to a blog that excites the action of internet web spiders which are constantly sweeping the internet universe looking for specific information based on keywords and subjects. When you submit, you select the keywords, and you give your bio info. These spiders instantly put your article on the desk of editors and publishers to be read by them. When you join the web site, you make yourself available to be reached by editors and publishers.

We invite you to take a look. It is a new web site and you have the chance to be join in on the ground floor. Read a few articles. We already have a few posted in certain areas, and we will be adding more on a constant basis. We posit some additional arguments why an article directory "fits" the new internet world of writing and publishing in a few of those articles. Our content rich article directory web site service makes more authors available to be seen and heard quickly than has been the case through traditional channels.

Please take the time to look at other content rich article directories in other subject areas. You can try a Google search on an area that interests you.

You should obtain a copy of the March 13th issue of “U. S. News & World Report” magazine. It has a spread on the new e-world of books and publishing.

I published my book late last year via POD publishing. You will find over a hundred of my articles at and (just coincidentally) an ad for my book on the side. Affiliate marketing is the only way article directories can afford to exist. No one else pays us to operate the web site.

How much time does it take to do this kind of writing? Answer: On a recent article I just completed and had ready to upload, these were your answers:

F.Y.I.
one hour writing time (from 12 to 1 AM)
15 minutes of editing, rewrite and title exploration (7:45 to 8 AM) next day
typing time: one hour, five minutes (8:22 to 9:27 AM)
preparation (list below) for uploading as a directory article: 15 minutes
(final selection of title, do word count, cut and paste intro paragraph, cut and paste author’s bio, selection of keywords, and spell check)
time for breakfast

This was new material. Freshly pulled from my brain. I have completed the whole process in fifteen to twenty minutes with material I had already written and had on my hard drive.

P.S. A friend recently completed for his own use, a boilerplate template for writing articles. He keeps a few copies on a clipboard and a pen by his bedside for those 3 AM gems that spike him, and probably you out of a sound sleep, and which left unwritten fade, fade away forever. He jots down the ideas and quickly goes back to sound restful sleep knowing that he has preserved these precious moments of creativity of his rested brain. He is willing to share his template with you. It is a FREE .pdf resource file.

It is FREE to you @ Then scroll down to: “Fast & Easy” Free Article Template Click on that, wait, read and Click on PDF download. In moments you will have a form you can save to your hard drive, print, and photocopy as needed. Use it. We think that you will be surprised at how fast you can develop into a prolific and skillful writer.

Make a few paper copies for your own use. I also keep a electronic file copy at the several different locations on my hard drive where I write articles. I don’t want to lose it. I don’t want to have to go looking for it. It is a click away and takes only a few seconds to print. Even faster for many of you would be an open template file of your own creation, just click and start typing. All you need are headings of Title:, Initial Paragraph:, Body:, Author Bio:. and keywords:. I also have and constantly use a heading of : Word Count:, which I update during pauses in my writing.

Publishing my book by way of POD publishing cost me less money than up front agency fees have in the past. It is available to you on Amazon.com and Barns & Noble.com

If you would like additional information, let us talk story. Post an article here.

Two last concepts: (1) You are not Noah. Don’t expect to strike it rich with the first dove you send out to explore the waters. Become a dove breeder. Send out whole flocks of doves. One of them just might return home with a golden olive branch. Your only cost is your time.

(2) If you know some writers, would you please send them a copy of this letter, or direct them to this web site?
